Bal Prabhat Boarding School, founded and run under Bal Prabhat Education Foundation, is a co-educational private school located in Newroad -09 Pokhara. Motivated by the zeal of the local academic enthusiasts who accentuated on the need to establish an English Medium school in the very locality, Bal Prabhat was founded in 2046 B.S. (1998 A.D) by Mrs. Ranjana K.C., a local resident. Back then, the main objective behind its establishment was to stop a much strenuous exodus of the local students flocking into the main city center for better education.
Since its establishment, Bal Prabhat has endeavored in all its capacity to be as holistic and dynamic as it can be so that it can unearth and nurture every potential a student has. After two and half a decade, the school is now able to establish itself as a trusted academic institution that attracts students from other parts of the valley as well.
Bal Prabhat is centrally located English medium Boarding School in Pokhara established with public private partnership concept. The school is being run in its full-fledged youth of 30 years from its establishment by renowned scholars like Ranjana Chhetri and Krishna Prasad Ghimire and Ganga Mani Ojha. The school’s legacy has been handed over to capable and visionary leaders of young generation. Now, Bal Prabhat has become the platform and pillar of hope for many parents who are already harvesting the fruits from their investment. Owing to our fore founders, we are committed to incorporate the everyday changing phenomena and new opportunities for our students because we believe in dynamism and progressive changes. As a result, we are proudly announcing for launching School of Management from this academic year. Bal Prabhat strongly believes in co-education and learning for real life. We are aware of what is going on every day in the society and involve the parents and society members as our source of knowledge. One can feel Bal Prabhat as a small society where students from diverse community interact. As an evidence of this, we have been marching onto International School Award journey 2017/18 for imparting our students with project-based teaching and develop 21st century skills like critical and creating thinking and problem solving, global citizenship, students’ leadership, collaboration and communication, creativity and imagination and so on. We have been working with satellite schools in national and international partner schools to develop the wider prospective on international relationship and deeper understanding on the subject matter. Furthermore, the efforts made by its teachers and students have been recognized by the University of KPZ, the Netherlands, by presenting us with the coronation of Star School in May, 2017. Incorporating the concept of ‘Education in Federalism’, Bal Prabhat Boarding School is proud to announce the commencement of its School of Management. Having successfully sent 16th batches of SLC and 2 SEE batches from our school, we are very proud to say that our production and alumni are doing very well in various colleges and universities all around the country and thus have become important figures across all different walks of life. Bal Prabhat Boarding School was established by education veterans on the wings of time in order to provide quality education to the outskirts of Pokhara valley. It gives us immense pleasure to be connected with this glorious history and legacy. As morning precedes the day and children form the foundation of Nepal’s future, the name ‘Bal Prabhat’ is enough to justify its presence in Pokhara. Here, the children can learn in a fearless and innovative environment where every child is encouraged to let their light shine forth like the rising Sun. Bal Prabhat has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and has become a matured, trusted institution. The school is largely characterized by its drive to become an internationally recognized centre of general excellence. This philosophy is reflected in the school’s motto: ‘Let your light shine forth’. As a result, Bal Prabhat School has become one of the leading schools in Pokhara. Bal Prabhat was awarded and recognized as a star school in 2017 by the University of Katholike Pabo Zwolle in the Netherlands for fulfilling the criteria of child centred, non-violent, cooperative teaching techniques. Bal Prabhat has also been working in collaboration with various government schools as well as private and boarding schools as satellite partners in order to share learned values. At Bal Prabhat, we believe that it is our duty as educators to integrate our national values with that of international community. Our mission is to create global citizens in the rapidly changing world who can face unforeseen challenges and embrace an unknowable future. We will accept the challenge to meet the needs of our school community socially, emotionally, academically, and physically.
